Management in sport has become an established discipline to answer the needs of professional sports organizations. As a sports organization strives to accomplish its aims, the task of the management of this organization is to discover which resources are necessary for the fulfillment of the set goals, and to manage them in the best possible manner. Management in sport must be able to set goals and develop strategies in order to achieve them. It organizes business and all of its segments, running and controlling the planned objects. Management of sports facilities, management of sports organizations, and management of sports events are in the domain of its business. Apart from the knowledge about the field of sport that managers in sport are concerned with, they should also develop knowledge and skills in economy, marketing and information technology. They work with people - clients and collaborators - on a daily basis. Finances are important as no business can be successfully run without them and their careful management, and this also applies to information technology and computer literacy, which has become a prerequisite of today's successful business practice. A manager in sport learns about business communication, ethics, business law, sales principles, business economy, consumer behavior, HR management, entrepreneurship, project management, business planning, public relations, etc.
